Vapour Organic Foundation
Finding a decent foundation can be a struggle, and when you only want the best ingredients for your skin, this narrows the choice even more. Or so I thought until I discovered Vapour. Goodness I sound like a sales ad, but this foundation is the best I have found.
- The brand: Vapour
- The ingredients: 70% certified organic with camellia seed oil, sunflower seed oil, castor oil, beeswax, frankincense, vitamin E, pumpkin and papaya complex, evening primrose, silica.
- Not tested on animals.
- Made using wind power and recycled ingredients for the packaging.
- Price: Around £43 depending on where you buy.
I found a great colour match which is difficult when you’ve got white skin like me, as very few brands do a pale enough colour. It’s a very smooth application and the finish is luminous with a hint of dewiness. The texture is quite liquid so it doesn’t look caked-on and gives a good coverage without feeling too heavy on the skin. I usually like to set mine with a tiny amount of powder.
If you have blemishes to cover, it does a good job without highlighting them even more as some foundations and concealers have a tendency to do. Although I would say a separate concealer will probably be needed if you usually use one as this is about medium coverage.
They have a good range of colours and tones. You can buy samples on the Naturisimo website for £1.50 each to check you are selecting the right shade. Really useful if you can’t find a local stockist. Content also stock this brand and they have a fabulous store in London, Marylebone as well as an online shop.
